Designed specifically for the Frankenstein Center, the Nursery hosts a set of virtual spaces where different forms of digital and analogues entertainments are presented to the visitors who can cohabit, interact and complement with one another through the built-in advanced haptic features.
In the settings, bodies and objects are located and prompted for real-time interactions, collaborative games, and group dives on lands of considerable size.

One of the features of these gaming environments is to minimise the boundaries between the virtual and the real. The Nursery is a place for experimentation and facilitates a unique encounter between the most advanced technologies and the general public. Like incubators and other accelerators such as MassChallenge, the Nursery offers a panel of innovative start-ups, selected on the criteria including innovation, dynamism and creativity, the opportunity to test their emerging products in real time with the public.

The E-Sport Circle

It is in the heart of the Nursery locates the E-Sport Circle. This is to be the first VR online multiplayer arena, a precursor to an advanced form of E-Sports. The Circle, spread over a vast area that can simultaneously accommodate 40 players, is one of the major attractions of the Center. Designed to host E-sport teams in connected encounters, the Frankenstein Center Circle aims to be the most important and innovative space in the world for VR.

Applying the latest “full body” tracking technologies in multiplayer virtual reality, the Circle allows two offers the opportunity for several teams to compete in VR while being together in one place. They are free to move in order to help one another in real time.

The Great Hall of Museums is a vast, high-rise, luminous setting, offering the public a striking view of the upper floors of the Center.
At the heart of the Great Hall, stands a spectacular attraction: It is a giant animated sculpture, that of an androgynous face that is changing. Hundreds of thousands of years of evolution are presented here; dark ages of Neanderthal to a complex, transformed, android human; it is here a being made of flesh and composite materials whose glance rises well beyond a present in full change.
The giant face changes gradually, evoking the adventurous journey that leads Man from the first days of life to adulthood, old age and death, finally transforming himself and recovering the appearance of a being in the making, without form or particular character, as if waiting, in the image of the future: this indescribable time which nevertheless, in this present age, never seemed so close.

The entire hall is decorated with the retro-futuristic visions. From Leonardo da Vinci to Jules Verne … from the European continent to the wider world, this permanent and evolving exhibition is dedicated to “future futures”.
This particular setting proposes the discovery of an extraordinary world. Artists have imagined the future: philosophers, scientists and engineers of all times and cultures. Those great minds dared to leap into a desire to “expand” into the imaginary, to dream of a future that hopefully would be better and more fruitful for future generations.

Here, visitors discover a whole world of technology: floating vessels above ground, in the sea and in the air, machines and various devices, land and air vehicles, metropolises, underground trains, mechanical beings. That is a fabulous projection of what have already been anticipated after the revolution of the industrial era. An antechamber of the 20th and 21st centuries is to display the change.

The Labyrinth is one of the great structures of the Frankenstein Center, a formidable attraction that uses adventure as a means of teaching; its original concept includes the production of a new generation video game.

The Labyrinth is built on a human scale. It crosses the Center in its entirety, stretching from the gardens of the park, to the large museum complex. It is exceptional in its size, a wonderful journey for visitors. The crossing of the Labyrinth is strewn with obstacles. The underground route is staged so that visitors can role-play or walk with the legendary figures. It is a place of initiation, a space of magical adventure with hidden galleries, secret passages and doors that appear or vanish. The digital technology of the Labyrinth is continuously tested and developed by the students of the Mary SHELLEY Institute. Students here use the adventurous course of the Labyrinth according to evolutionary scenarios different from those offered to the general public of the Frankenstein Center, in order to put them to the test, or to enable them to concretely experience the teaching delivered by the Institute.

Thanks to the use of the latest technologies, such as augmented reality, virtual reality, mechanical engineering, as well as real scenery, this attraction offers a holistic way of understanding the recreational, cultural, academic content presented by the Frankenstein Center.

A fantastic trip!

Spread over several levels, the Odyssey is a complex that leads the general public into the depths of the human body as a means of discovering, exploring and learning about it in a ground breaking way.

INTRACORPOREAL CRUISES

Passing through the sophisticated stage of a highly technical launching pad, visitors are first kitted out and then guided to board the futurist nacelles and fasten their seat belts. They then observe the breath-taking spectacle of their own miniaturisation and a whole process that sees them set off on a fantastic voyage inside the human body. It is an adventurous tour that allows the visitors to physically traverse a unique space, from the extremities of the body’s lower members to the top of the head, passing through the organs, the heart and the brain.
Within this extraordinary environment, the effects of a technology being pushed to its extreme, the intensity of the sets being made on a human scale, the effort of actors, and the individualistic interaction, the visitors will be able to fully immerse themselves in this adventure.

This is a tumultuous journey full of sound and fury to which the audience is invited. Indeed, it will lift the veil of matter to contemplate an immense scheme, an architecture with bewildering complexity and be carried to the very center of a galaxy that seems all the more distant, that it is the very substance of those who visit it.

Managed by the Mary Shelley Institute, this extraordinary set of games and adventures are made for children between the ages of 6 and 12. It is a world unto itself. It is a land of discovery for learning about mythology and its stories. This breath-taking entertainment area, completed with an interactive installation, transports the young visitors to the sources of mythology.

The Genesis original concept includes the production of a new generation video game and an animated TV series.
Mythology and its stories entail obstacles along our path from cradle to grave, they also gives insight in the life of an individual with regard to the society that embeds us. By understanding these themes, children begin to perceive the human journey whose origin is lost in the mists of time, and which inevitably leads humankind towards a future that changes constantly.
Younger generations have to be quicker to discover, to confront and to apprehend. The pedagogical dimension in this space is based on the latest behavioural studies on children and their ability to learn in games.

The primary aim of this space is to bring young visitors to an understanding of their primordial role in their lifelong adventure awaiting them. By introducing the mythological archetypes to them, they would be given the intellectual tools for their own reflection, and then pave their own way of personal development.

The function of this group is to allow old and very large cultures, to reveal to the public the common millennial language that unites them.

Indeed, these characters represent universal archetypes and it is astonishing to realise how much people from different origins, cultures and geographical identities would identify themselves with the same emblematic figures. There are a variety of names and appearances, and the visions of the world are complex and multiple. The heart and the meaning of the message are nonetheless unique. It is a legacy, a common ground for all the nations on the face of the earth. And this is the mandate that the Agora has set itself to demonstrate.

The Agora is the heart of the Frankenstein Center, a meeting place where the general public, the students of the Mary SHELLEY Institute, the residents and all other stakeholders of the Center can come across. It is a grandiose luminous space, a place of great importance as it connects with lifts, ramps and stairs to all levels and areas of the Frankenstein Center and offers a panoramic view of the various attractions. It is a walking area extending the staggered gardens that cascade from the large outdoor park of the Center.

This is a grand cinema-theater of Dolby Atmos standards reserved for shows and events; a multipurpose hall with 600 seats and a floor area of 650 m2 spread over three levels.

Like a temple of magnificent decor bringing about a fantasy of the work in the style of Grauman’s Chinese Theater, this splendid hall would be designed and decorated by famous artists using the most advanced technology in the field.

This space is also intended to host opening nights, the various awards presentations for the national and international competitions offered by the Frankenstein Center, the comics convention, as well as various events, concerts and festivals which throughout the year, brighten up the tumultuous life of this new generation entertainment and education Center.
