THE FRANKENSTEIN CENTER – Knowledge at the heart of wonder

The Frankenstein Center is an amusement park, an adventure and immersion course, a vast campus built on a space of one hectare and a half, on five levels, both aerial and underground, the use of which is independent of day, time, climate or seasons. It is a very ambitious project, that of an innovative complex, multidisciplinary, engine of a considerable interaction with the general public.

The Center hosts major cultural events throughout the year. This space is an art-center – a melting pot of contemporary trends and aesthetics – which welcomes distinguished guests who work in different areas of art, technology, research, as well as in the entertainment and imagery sectors, such as filmmakers, writers, scientists, futurists, illustrators, painters, architects and sculptors.

The Center is an integrated school of higher education: the Mary SHELLEY Institute. It is connected to the museum space and to a research framework that offers the opportunity to study innovative disciplines that are often dissociated elsewhere.

The Frankenstein Center features three museums that shed light on the phenomenal energy that has been driving humankind from its origins to constantly push its boundaries to reach a staggering metamorphosis.

The Center hosts also an experimental laboratory where research can build bridges between the humanities, the world of entertainment and the most advanced technologies.

The Center organises an annual festival of imagery, a prestigious competition with awards in the fields of Arts and Sciences, as well as a biennale to highlight technological progressions and make them accessible to the public.

Lastly, the Frankenstein Center is a showcase for science and technology, which aims to work closely with high-tech companies, international institutions, museums, schools and universities.

The Center perpetuates such a close relationship between arts, games and sciences, in order to generate continuous feedback for the host city and then position the center as a fascinating destination for international tourism.

THE FRANKENSTEIN CENTER – Assembling the latest technologies combined

From the beginning, the Frankenstein Center has been imagined as a museum of the future, a technologically challenging and entirely interconnected environment. This has greatly influenced the design of the attractions and spaces, which have been conceived as places for magic and illusion, where anything is possible, where anything can happen and where fantasies, marvels and mysteries are part and parcel of a visitor’s experiences.

Everything is possible here, thanks to the magic of augmented reality, immersive technologies, engineering, and the use of real-life sets and actors. What seems the most unlikely becomes real. The most innocuous places hide deep mysteries and incredible secrets.

To make the touring experience as immersive as possible, visitors are invited to prepare their visit on the Internet in advance by choosing their desired formula.
They can choose a personalised route, decide to use the service of a virtual guide, participate in a custom-made and perceptible visit scenario. They can invite guests as they wish. In the individualistic world invisible to others, a visitor can participate in new adventures, look for clues allowing him to discover hidden rooms, access new exclusive and contextual content. In addition, he will be able to participate in AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) experiences, obtain regular updates, as well as exclusive content reserved for people who have ever visited the Frankenstein Center.

These are two visits that the Center offers: the first, physical, in real time, the second in the virtual world, to discover the different hidden levels of the Frankenstein Center.

These two paths are deeply connected. Visitors are invited to be the active heroes in their adventurous tours, which would be interactive with them, so that the touring experience would be prolonged to constantly renew the knowledge and messages for them, who can enjoy their individualistic and privileged heroic moment.

The Center would actively cooperate with innovative companies, international artists and established technological groups that are preparing for the emergence of the future.

The Frankenstein Center is a complex in which each element is autonomous, but the full impact must be experienced with all its elements combined. It is indeed a global object.
